This visually striking and thought provoking installation which formed a flexible auditorium space, challenged users to consider issues around plastic usage and waste. The scheme was been designed so that it could be reused - either as a whole, or dismantled - and each component reused individually. It was repurposed for Construction Week Show at Birmingham NEC. The enclosure was formed from stacked, green, gabion cages. The wire mesh structure of the gabions gave a sense of enclosure whilst also having a level of permeability that will allowed viewers to look inside the auditorium. This filigree lattice, which was partially filled with representational objects, created an enclosure that operates as a large scale infographic, highlighting the issue of plastic usage.
